Traditional Understanding of Main Door

Traditional Understanding of Main Door
·        Main Door is like the mouth of the house and hence should be opened only in the proper direction as shown in Vaastu

·        It is advisable to have a nameplate outside your house as it is said to help opportunities trace you easily

·        Always place a light above the Main Door, it should never be in the dark

·        The center line of the Main Door of the house should not coincide with the middle line of the length of breadth of the house

·        A common Main Door for two houses (also those families having 2 separate kitchens in the same house!) is not permissible, it increases misunderstandings
·        3 or more doors in one line from the front of the house to the back are inauspicious

·        At any time leave only a maximum of 5 doors open per floor of your house

·        All doors should always open inside the house and all windows outside

·        Main door of the house should always be bigger than the other doors and have two doors or flaps

·        Best entrance or main door is considered to be that facing east so the rising Sun shines in bringing positive energy and prosperity

·        A North directional door in the right place brings complete materialistic well-being
·        Main Door in West causes the main male member of the house to frequently travel far

·        Main Door in South-West makes life difficult and full of struggles

·        Main Door in South leads to a very highly active social life and that could disturb family peace. It can also lead to arguments and disagreements

·        Main Door in South-East brings illness, anger and court matters

·        Main Door in the South-East causes fire hazards

·        Dining room should never be directly exposed to the main door as it causes dissatisfaction in-house

·        Doors that creak when opening or scratch the floor bring in negativity and incurable skin diseases

·        Your door should always be rectangular in shape and beware of square or half-round shaped doors

·        The number of doors on each floor should be an even number but not ending in Zero

·        Never sleep with your head directly facing the door, it causes health problems

·        Never sit or work with a door behind you, it makes you prone to back-stabbing and cheating behind your back

·        Remember that no untidy and unorganized or smelly shoes or slippers should be lying near the main door, it attracts negative energy. Keep them at a distance or in closed cupboards

·        A broom or mop lying at the entrance of the house causes quarrels in the house
